Are you sure?!

We are still waiting to hear back on which County would like to license us for Foster Care.  The Foster Care Coordinator in our County is out today so I probably won't hear any news today.  I am trying not to be a pest.  Maybe the licencors of the other counties are busy too.  I just wish we could get the program started.

I have begun telling a few people that we have submitted our application.  I am surprised at some of the responses I have gotten.  Of course, my coworkers all think it is amazing.  They know how great the need is for Foster Care and know us.  A lot of commented on what a great job we will do.  I guess my biggest surprise has been in family members and friends.  Most seem shocked and a little leery for us.  I suppose some of that is lack of knowledge.  I am pleased to hear how many other people have thought about doing this themselves.  I think most people have the general inclination to reach out and help others.  I think most fall short with the follow through though.

I have been wondering what kinds of things we should be stocking up on.  Diapers, baby clothes, baby toys, etc.  So much of this is unknown right now.  I have a lot of questions about what we will be responsible to provide and what the county will be reimbursing for.  In time I will have the answers.  For now I am Praying.... Please Father, provide me with patience to see this through.  Please help others to understand why we are doing this and that you have a plan.  Please keep your guiding hand on the progress of this and with all people involved.  In your name, Amen.
