Get this show on the road...
I am excited to finally get our Foster Care chapter started. I finally spoke with County Licensor and we are having our first visit next Monday. She is sending me a packet of paperwork and information in the mail today. I am so excited to get going on this.
I'm excited to lend a helping hand to a little person who is having a rough time. I am also excited to have some baby time. I love babies and little kids.
I have been thinking a lot about how these babies will be so different from our babies. Other than the obvious, they aren't my babies. I know that some of these babies will have medical and emotional issues. Some of them may have fetal alcohol syndrom or have been exposed to drugs in the womb. I'm a little nervous about that. My babies were all fat and happy, content babies. I know these might not be like that.
On another note: We have put the garden and yard to bed for the winter. The rabbits are snuggled into the garage in their new stacking cage system. I'm trying to remain positive about winter coming. Yes, I know it will be terribly cold before long but there are so many good aspects about winter also.
Today is Halloween and we will be heading out to do a little trick or treating tonight. I'm not the most excited about that. There are about 800 things I'd rather be doing than freezing my buns off. It will be ok. Before long this stage will have passed for my kids. I'm going to enjoy it while I can.
