And we're off.....

Melissa came for her visit yesterday.  She was delightful.  Super nice with a great personality and wonderful sense of humor.  I think both of the kids and John like her as well.  I loved how she answered our questions openly and honestly but also at a child appropriate level in front of Jacob and Amanda.  She said our house would be perfect for Foster Care.  

We have a long list of things that need to be done though.  Paper work, lots of training videos, a few things to purchase (Fire extinguisher, first aid kit items, outlet covers)  We have lots of cleaning to do and plenty of organizing.  I should have plenty to do to keep me busy during November and December while we wait for background checks and other things to be done at the county level.

I am quite excited and will begin collecting little clothing items to have on hand.  For today, I will just continue cleaning, sorting and organizing.
